BOTANIC FLOWER

life has gotten pretty crazy these last few weeks and its only going to get busier. today I am currently all rugged up in bed with a cold and I thought I haven't done a blog post in a while so what better way to pass time and do a blog post.

I thought it was time for another post taken in june with Bella and as I was looking through the folder of pictures taken then, I realized this is the last post I have to publish so that is a bit sad. this post is a combination of portrait photography taken by bella and some nature photos taken by me and can I just say, I think portrait photography is becoming my new favourite type of photography and these photos are just amazing. just excuse the green glare in my glasses - haha. I learnt a lot about how to take good nature pics while I was with bella and I think its fair to say, my nature pics have come along way! ahh I just love how these photos all turned out!!

that's about it from me today, sorry for this short post but at least there is lots of pretty pictures to look at. hopefully I will be back with another post soon but until then, hope you are doing well and are keen for the warm weather to start soon.

B + B MEETUP / 02

last weekend was ah-freaking-mazing!
I was lucky enough to be able to see Bella again from Bella By The Sea, and to say we had a great weekend would be an understatement. a highlight of this trip was being able to see Aladdin the musical together and make lots more memories together. thanks to bella and her family for the fantastic weekend.
below is lots of pictures from last weekend and a bit about what we did. expect more posts from this weekend soon on the blog.

friday –
mum and I adventured off to Bella's house, it was a long drive but totally worth it. when we arrived we talked for a bit before going off on a short walk. that night was pretty relaxing as I hadn't been feeling well but we ended the night with a few rounds of boggle and watching Finding Dory.

saturday -
we woke up excited for the two days ahead. we went off to King Of The Castle cafe where our mums had coffee and we had a nice shortbread biscuit. after that we walked down to do a whole heap of fashion posts! lots of memories where made and chicken crimpies were eaten. after doing two shoots each, we went over to the Botanic Gardens to take some nature photos and some portrait photography. It was fun exploring the gardens and taking heaps of pictures. We also walked over to the waterfront to take some more pictures. we then got picked up and then traveled to Bella's beach house, stopping at some wineries also. Bella and I went down to the vineyards and took some nice pictures with the beautiful autumn vine leaves. that night we had a lovely pasta dish Bella's mum made and watched Close Encounters of The 3rd Kind, a sorta scary but not movie.

sunday -

in the morning Bella and I walked down to the beach and took some pictures at the beach, the sky was blue and the water looked crystal clear and if it wasn't freezing I think we both would have jumped in and took some underwater pics. we then went back to the beach house and packed up to go back to bella's house where we got ready for Melbourne! I hadn't been to Melbourne since 7 years ago so it was so fun to explore Melbourne with mum, bella and her mum. we walked around and hopped on a tram before heading off to a Japanese restaurant for dinner, the place we went to had some delicious food. then, we walked over to Her Majesty's Theatre to go and see Aladdin the musical!! it was spectacular, brilliant and amazing! I don't think you could have taken the smile off my face even if you tried. I think I loved Friend Like Me the most as well as A Whole New World where they made the carpet fly, yes, MADE THE CARPET FLY, I honestly don't know how but it was amazing. the cast were so brilliant and the genie, well he stole the show! if you can go see it, I highly suggest you do.

AUTUMN AT IT'S FINEST

So I think autumn has slowly become my favourite time of the year. The colours are just completely and utterly stunning, the crunch of the leaves under your shoes, the leaves falling here there and everywhere, and the weather turning from warm days into chilly ones.

There is just a lot of things to be excited for when it comes to late autumn / winter, the weekend sleep ins, laying in your warm bed with your doona with blankets on top, warm fires, hot milos and chocolates, winter clothes, ahhhh I could go on and on about how much I love this time of the year but I won't as this post will go on forever.

These autumn photos make me so happy, the colours showed up so well and really show autumn at the moment. I seriously love photography, its so inspiring and when you get that perfect shot it makes you seriously happy, these photos were pretty much what I had visioned them to be, showcasing autumn at its very best.

The next few weeks are going to be some exciting times for sure! Lots of blog posts have been planned and I am super excited to share them with you very soon.

AUTUMN'S COMING SOON..

the weather is unfortunately cooling down and autumn is on its way, which I am a bit sad about but kind of happy about in a way, there is of course things I will miss like swimming and wearing shorts and t-shirts everyday but I am certainly excited for rugging up in my favourite knits and coats, drinking hot drinks by the fire and more lazy days that come from being cooped up inside.

this week I have had an idea in my head about how this post would look and last night I did some lettering and put together this little masterpiece, and I must say, I am pretty proud of it and it tuned out pretty much hope I hoped for it to! I have seen other bloggers like Jasmine Dowling do similar photos + lettering photos and it has inspired me to try it out for myself and I must say, its quite fun to do!

the outfit is an ootd from last sunday when the weather was a bit chilly but not cold enough to completely rug up, it consists of some of my 'go to' outfit of black jeans + denim jacket but this time adding a tank and converse to the mix instead of a long sleeve and boots, making it a very nice outfit for the transition of summer to autumn or winter to spring.

oh and this is Ollie for any new readers - adorable isn't he!?

SUMMER LOVIN

well i didn't think it would be too long before I jumped back on the computer and started to choose some pictures for a brand new post.

these holidays have gone by heaps fast, I am heading back to school next Monday and I am not looking forward to year 10 and going back in general, I have been assured I will survive but who knows what's going to happen.
these holidays have been spent relaxing at home, watching lotsa netflix, reading, going swimming, baking, shopping, eating ice cream, taking day trips to nearby towns and beaches + getting a new puppy!

I am a lover of the beach and I was lucky enough to go twice these holidays, it was so lovely, the water was so blue and crystal clear, the weather was perfect and the water was so very refreshing, making for good beach days. I took my gopro with me as I have been really inspired for gopro photography and underwater photography and I think I got some pretty good shots. there were so many pictures to choose from and unfortunately I couldn't put them all on this one post so I have put some on my portfolio if you wish to check that out.

that's enough chat for one post, thanks for all the feedback from my last post and to any fellow australian's, I hope you enjoy the last few days of the school holidays.
