THE EDITORIAL 05 // BLOOMING BLOSSOMS

hello.

Its been a while, well not really, so much has happened in the past week which I won't go into but I am currently sitting here, with a cold which I have had since Wednesday and I have to say, I hate been sick, you just feel so unproductive and blugh and all you can really do is rest and try to get yourself back to good health.

This post is yet another in my favourite series, The Editorial, today this post is about blossoms, my family currently has two trees full of blossoms at the moment (well technically one is over our neighbors fence but comes into our yard so it still counts!) and they are just so pretty. I like how we have two trees and the blossoms are different colours and different sizes, so cool.

I have compiled a few of my favourite photos of these blossoms together to bring you this post. I would just like to mention, I don't particularly like editing my pictures unless I really need to, in this case I don't, I just like how the photos you get straight of your camera still have a lot of 'natural beauty' if you will, and I am just liking that!

If you wish to see more of THE EDITORIAL series click here.

Well that's all I have for you today, I really hope you love these photos, its feels right to be posting these just as spring has sprung. I have planned some awesome blogging stuff which will hopefully be up soon. Have a great day / night / afternoon where ever you may be!

THE EDITORIAL 04 // NEGATIVE SPACE

hola,

The past few weeks I have been thinking that I should do another post in my series THE EDITORIAL. I have been thinking very hard about what it should be about and while I was looking through my camera I found all these photos of a focus point, been a roof or a tree with a lot of sky in the background. I immediately thought that this was negative space and I knew that it would be the next post for the series.

I think negative space is where you have one focus point and then around it you have lots of empty space, some examples would include the sky, the ground, the ocean, a table top, anything really! These pictures look really nice at sunsets where you may have an object or someone standing taking a picture of the sunset with lots of space around that focus point. Now because I am no photography expert, I don't know if this is the true meaning of negative space but that's what I think about when someone says I have taken a photo with lots of negative space.

I hope you enjoy these examples of negative space!

You can view all the other posts in The Editorial here.
Much Love - Brooke x

THE EDITORIAL 03 // THE SUN GOES DOWN

G'day Mates!

Okay, I must admit something to you guys, I am a HUGE sunset enthusiast! I am not even kidding, whenever it starts to get dark I look out my window or another window in our house and watch the sun go down, and sometimes if its gorgeous I will take a photo of it! Sunsets are just gorgeous so of course I would have to include them in my series, THE EDITORIAL.

I just love sunsets and because I don't wake up to see the sun rise this is the next best thing, better in my opinion! So I have compiled a whole heap of my best sunset photos together to bring you this post in THE EDITORIAL!
You can see The Editorial 01 here and The Editorial 02 here.

On another wonderful note on Thursday I finally after almost 2 years got my braces off and boy do I feel so freeeeee! I will be doing a bit of a post on that later this month / early next month. But on a sad kinda depressing note school goes back next week and there goes my freedom haha!

Happy Australia Day to all my Aussie friends and I hope you enjoy this post.
x B

THE EDITORIAL 02 // UNDER THE SEA

hiya!

Today I am back with another post in my series named THE EDITORIAL. Anyways this editorial is all about underwater photography, I am just loving underwater photography at the moment, it is definitely becoming a new favourite of mine.

These ones below were all taken on my GoPro Hero3. While my family and I were away for the Christmas break we took a trip to the local pool and I took a few underwater pictures and some videos.

Also a few of you have told me that some of my photos from older posts haven't been loading, this is because these posts were copied from Word Press and all my posts are unavailable to view now.

I honestly love how these turned out and not a single one of these were edited. I hope you love these photos too.
x B

THE EDITORIAL 01 // BLACK & WHITE

Aloha!
For a while I have been wanting to do more editorial types of posts but I haven't really gotten around to it. I have had one to publish for a while but I decided to not post it which is okay because I came up with a fantastical idea to create a new series, DRUM ROLL PLEASE.... THE EDITORIAL!
THE EDITORIAL is all about colour, focus points, fun, picture drawings and so much more! I am super duper excited to be sharing this fun series with you and I can't wait to show you more in the future so stay tuned!
The first post in THE EDITORIAL is all about Black + White photographs. I just love all the black and white photos, they are super simple,  minimalist and wonderful! Ahh I just love them so much!! Today I have put together 7 black + white photos to share with you all, these were all edited in VSCO Cam using the filter B1 for any of you wondering. I hope you love them as much as I do! Have a brilliant week, Brooke xx
